Once the Check'In Pro 2 is installed, a test is required. Here is the simplest way to perform a break-in test:
Vibration Detection
1 Step outside the secured location and close the door. Wait for one minute (this is the delay during which the Check'In Pro 2's detection is paused).
2 Hit the door with strong knocks (either 5 slow knocks or 15 rapid ones).
3 An audio message will then announce: "Warning, this site is secured, the siren will sound in a few seconds...".
4 Once the audio message is completed, the microphone will record a 15-second audio clip. The siren will then sound for three minutes.
5 Simultaneously, depending on your preferences, you will receive a notification on your smartphone and/or an SMS and/or an email. The alert screen on the Check'In mobile app allows you to turn off the siren.
Here is a video explaining how to trigger an alert:
Motion Detection
1 Close the door of the secured location but stay inside. Ensure that you are in a location where the motion detector cannot see you (for instance, move to another room).
💡 If you cannot see the motion detector, it means it cannot see you either!
2 Wait for the delay period. By default, the delay is 15 minutes, but it can be adjusted to between 0 and 90 minutes. If you wish to modify it, please contact our customer service.
3 Walk past the Check'In Pro 2.
4 An audio message will then announce: "Warning, this site is secured, the siren will sound in a few seconds...".
5 Once the audio message is completed, the microphone will record a 15-second audio clip. The siren will then sound for three minutes.
6 Simultaneously, depending on your preferences, you will receive a notification on your smartphone and/or an SMS and/or an email. The alert screen on the Check'In mobile app allows you to turn off the siren.
