What is the purpose of the Bluetooth access badge?
In addition to the Check'In, you can use one or more Bluetooth access badges. Each time the door is opened or closed, if a badge is detected, the event is logged in the history of your application. This allows you to know who entered the premises and for how long. When the badge is present, there is no risk of false alerts (for example, if vibrations are detected during construction work).
If the "Secure Access" mode is activated, and an opening/closing occurs without a recognized badge, the Check'In alarm will automatically trigger and you will be notified of the intrusion.
💡 Make sure not to leave the badge inside the property if no one is there! The Check'In will not detect an intrusion if a badge is nearby.
How to install the Bluetooth access badge?
To install a Bluetooth access badge, log in to your Check'In application. Go to the "Devices" menu in the application, then to "Badges". Tap on "+ Add a badge" and scan the QR code of your access badge. Follow the instructions in the application.
💡 When prompted, remember to press the badge button for 3 seconds. The badge LED will light up green, indicating that it is now activated.
💡 Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled during the installation!
Then, associate the badge with your Check'In. To do this, find your Check'In in the "Devices" menu and tap on the sensor's profile. Go to the "Information" tab, then to "Badges". Tap the "+ Associate a badge" button. Select your badge by tapping on it. It will be associated with your Check'In during the next function check. If you wish, you can triple press the button on the right side of the Check'In to force a connection and immediately apply the new settings.
Additionally, you can associate your access badge with other Check'In devices.
How to activate the "Secure access" detection mode?
After installing your access badge, you can activate the "Secure access" detection mode on your Check'In. With this mode, any door opening will be considered an intrusion if no access badge is detected nearby. You will then be automatically notified of the unauthorized opening.
You can find out how to activate the "Secure access" detection mode in this article.
How to disassociate or uninstall a badge?
If you want to disassociate an access badge from a Check'In, open your Check'In application and go to the "Badges" menu in the sensor's profile. Tap "Disassociate", then confirm your choice.
To uninstall a badge (for example, if it is lost or stolen), go to the "Devices" menu in the application, then to "Badges". In your access badge profile, you will find the "Delete" functionality. Tap on it, then confirm to uninstall the badge.
