Generally speaking, your Check'In automatically updates as soon as an update is available. However, it may happen, especially if the network is insufficient, that the update does not occur automatically.
In that case, go to your application. Tap on the box inviting you to update your Check'In, then follow the instructions displayed in the app. Your sensor will download the latest Check'In update.
If, for some reason, you are unable to update your Check'In, here are the steps to follow:
1 Ensure that the Bluetooth on your phone is activated and that you are close to your Check'In.
- For iOS users : you can activate your phone's Bluetooth by going to your phone's "Settings" and then to "Bluetooth". Slide the button next to "Bluetooth" to the right to activate it. The circle will move to the right and the rectangle containing the circle will turn green.
- For Android users : you can activate your phone's Bluetooth by going to your phone's "Settings" and then to "Bluetooth". Slide the button next to "Bluetooth" to the right to activate it. The circle will move to the right and the rectangle containing the circle will turn blue.
2 Ensure that the LED on the Check'In is blinking slowly in blue. If it's not, press for about three seconds on the button located on the right side of the sensor. Release once the Check'In LED turns blue.
3 Check the version your Check'In is currently on. If the version is lower than 4.4.2 and your Check'In does not start downloading the update after 3 minutes, press the Check'In button 3 times. This will force a connection, allowing the Check'In to start downloading the update. If this doesn't work, press the Check'In button 3 times again, then wait 3 minutes for the update to download. If the problem persists, repeat this step until it works.
4 If the update fails during download, restart it. It will resume from the point where it stopped (for example, if it failed at 56%, it will resume from 56%). If this happens again, repeat the step until you reach 100%.
5 Check that the batteries are sufficiently charged. To do this, go to your Check'In profile in your app to check the battery level.
💡 Here are the steps to check the battery level of your Check'In: In the Check'In app, tap on your sensor's profile. The battery level is displayed above the box indicating the number of openings in the day or month.
💡 If your sensor is in Standard mode and the siren is activated, you can also test the batteries by testing the Check'In. To do this, tap the sensor about ten times until the LED lights up in green. Once the Check'In detects an intrusion attempt, an audio announcement will warn that the site is protected. If the sound quality is poor, it means that the battery level is too low.
