To make your Check'In 2 operational, it is important to follow all the steps outlined below:
Getting started with the Check'In app
1 Download our Check'In application from the App Store or Play Store.
💡 Do not insert the batteries into your Check'In 2 housing yet! You will be prompted to do so later during the installation process.
2 Open the Check'In app and tap on "Create an account". Then, follow the instructions. If you already have a Check'In account, tap instead on "Login".
3 Once you are on the main page of the app, tap on "Add a Check'In".
4 Scan the QR code located on the back of your Check'In 2, below the battery compartment, so that it is recognized by your app.
5 Ensure that the IMEI, i.e., the serial number of the Check'In 2, is correct. If so, tap on "Continue".
6 Set the name and type of use of your Check'In2 , as well as the type of door on which the housing will be installed.
7 Your Check'In 2 is now configured on our server.
Setting up the device
1 It is now time to install your device! Insert the batteries ensuring their polarity is correct (positive side and negative side), then assemble the support of your Check'In 2 as illustrated in the app.
2 Using the degreasing wipe included in the Check'In 2 kit, clean the surface of the door where you will install your device. This should be located approximately 10 cm below the door lock.
3 Remove the protective covers from the two adhesives of the Check'In 2, then stick the device on the door. Keep your hand pressed on the Check'In 2 for 15 seconds to ensure housing adheres to the door.
Activating the device
1 Once the Check'In 2 is installed on your door, it will automatically connect to the 4G LTE-M or NB-IoT network.
💡 Be patient, this may take up to 10 minutes!
💡 If after this time, your Check'In 2 does not emit a white light, reset it. To do this, press the button located on the right side of the Check'In 2 for about 9 seconds. The LED will turn red and you will then release the button. You will hear a beep, indicating that the Check'In 2 will be reset and restarting. If you do not hear a beep, repeat the process.
2 It is now time to activate the sensors of your Check'In 2. To do this, and following the instructions in the app, quickly press the button on the right side of the Check'In 2 twice. You will hear a beep, indicating that the sensors are activated. The Check'In 2 will automatically start the calibration process.
💡 Be careful not to touch your door while the Check'In 2 is calibrating!
3 Follow the various steps detailed in the app (open the door, close the door...).
Emergency address and contacts
1 In the app, and once the steps from above have been completed, add the postal address where the Check'In 2 is installed.
2 Once it is done, you have the option to add up to 2 emergency contacts by tapping on "Add an emergency contact". Fill in the required information, then tap on "Validate".
Your Check'in 2 is now installed and operational! 🎉
