In general, your Check'In 2 automatically updates as soon as an update is available. However, it may happen, especially if the network is insufficient, that the update does not happen automatically.
In that case, open your app. Tap on the box inviting you to update your Check'In 2, then follow the instructions displayed in the app. Your sensor will download the latest Check'In 2 update.
If, for some reason, you are unable to update your Check'In 2, here are the steps to follow:
1 Make sure that the Bluetooth of your phone is enabled and that you are close to your Check'In 2.
- For iOS users : you can enable your phone’s Bluetooth by going to "Settings", then "Bluetooth". Slide the switch next to "Bluetooth" to the right to enable it. The circle will move to the right and the rectangle containing the circle will turn green.
- For Android users : you can enable your phone’s Bluetooth by going to "Settings", then "Bluetooth". Slide the switch next to "Bluetooth" to the right to enable it. The circle will move to the right and the rectangle containing the circle will turn blue.
2 Make sure that the LED on your Check'In 2 blinks slowly in blue. If it does not, press the button on the right side of the sensor for about three seconds. Release once the LED on the Check'In 2 turns blue.
3 If the update fails during the download, restart it. It will resume from where it stopped (for example, if it failed at 56%, it will resume at 56%). If it happens again, repeat the step until it reaches 100%.
4 Check that the batteries are sufficiently charged. To do so, open your Check'In app. Tap on your sensor's page. The battery level is displayed above the box indicating the number of openings for the day or month.
💡 If your sensor is in Standard mode and the siren is activated, you can also test the batteries by testing the Check'In 2. To do so, tap on the sensor about ten times so that the LED lights up in green. Once the Check'In 2 detects an intrusion attempt, an audio announcement will warn that the site is protected. If the sound is not of good quality, this means that the battery level is too low.
